At the Muslim Sports Foundation, we create and share resources that support mosques, schools, governing bodies, and the wider community, making sport and physical activity more welcoming for all. By working closely with a wide range of organisations and partners — including The FA, Youth Sport Trust, and mental health charity Mind — we aim to promote inclusion, wellbeing, and opportunities for everyone to thrive through sport.

Mindful Sunnah
Introducing Mindful Sunnah — a mental health and wellbeing initiative created in collaboration with Mind, one of the UK’s leading mental health charities.
This project has been developed with Muslim communities in mind, aiming to offer supportive and faith-informed approaches to mental wellbeing and physical activity.
Despite the holistic wellbeing teachings found within Islam, mental health remains a taboo topic in many Muslim communities. Misconceptions that anxiety or depression stem from weak faith can prevent individuals from seeking support, reinforcing societal and self-stigmas.
Mindful Sunnah directly addresses these stigmas – it affirms that seeking mental health support is not only valid but deeply Islamic.
