Insights

The MSF collects ethically sound data and research, providing a rich insight into complex issues which continue to exist at grassroots levels for Muslim communities across the nation. We use research from grey literature to identify interventions for British Muslims in health, education, sports, physical activity, and wellbeing sectors, considering the contemporary issues prevalent today.

The research provides insights and understanding into situation-specific contexts, ensuring that each intervention reflects an evidence-based approach. We are committed to tackling inequalities prevalent for British Muslims by conducting thorough research, which forms the foundations of our work at the MSF.

Amongst the areas we have researched, the MSF is keen to establish relationships with organisations that are interesting in researching Muslim communities in an array of disciplines such as:

  • Education
  • Sport
  • Physical Activity
  • Mental Health/ Well-being
  • Life Skills

At the MSF we have researched the following areas so far:

  • Female Engagement in Physical Education (Literature Review)
  • Case Studies from our partners across the nation
  • Investigating female engagement in Squash (Partnership with Squash England)
