Muslim Sports Foundation (MSF) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk.

We recognise the importance of safeguarding practice that is inclusive, culturally aware and accessible, while remaining fully aligned with UK law and statutory guidance.

The Board of Trustees holds ultimate accountability for safeguarding and ensures appropriate policies, oversight and assurance arrangements are in place.

MSF is a governance-led organisation and does not directly deliver sport or regulated activity. Safeguarding responsibilities for frontline activity sit with delivery partners, coaches and service providers. MSF provides safeguarding leadership, oversight and assurance, ensuring that appropriate safeguarding arrangements are in place across the organisations and activities we support.

We have a comprehensive safeguarding framework supported by a suite of policies, procedures and codes of conduct. These set out clear expectations for behaviour, reporting and accountability.

We have a zero-tolerance approach to abuse, harm, neglect, bullying, harassment and discrimination.

Reporting a Safeguarding Concern

If you have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child, young person or adult at risk, you should report it as soon as possible.

You can contact MSF at: safeguarding@muslimsports.org.uk

Concerns can be raised in writing or verbally. You do not need to complete a form to report a concern.

MSF does not investigate safeguarding concerns but will ensure that concerns are recorded, assessed and referred to the appropriate organisation or statutory authority where required.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services immediately by calling 999.

You may also contact your local authority safeguarding team or relevant statutory services directly.
