Our Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees provides strategic leadership and oversight for Muslim Sports Foundation (MSF), ensuring the organisation operates in line with its charitable purpose, constitution and values.
The Board holds ultimate responsibility for governance, including safeguarding, financial oversight, risk management and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Trustees are accountable to the communities we serve, as well as our partners, funders and regulators. The Board ensures that safeguarding is embedded across all aspects of the organisation’s work and that appropriate oversight and assurance arrangements are in place.
Trustees bring a range of professional skills, experience and perspectives, supporting effective decision-making and ensuring the organisation remains focused on its mission, priorities and long-term impact. Trustees are volunteers who act in the best interests of the charity and bring independence, integrity and collective responsibility to their role.
The Board meets regularly to review performance, monitor progress against strategic priorities and ensure the effective and responsible use of resources. It also undertakes periodic strategic reviews to ensure the organisation remains responsive, relevant and sustainable.
MSF works in partnership with local, regional and national organisations and the Board plays an important role in strengthening these relationships and ensuring appropriate governance and accountability across all activities.
As a governance-led organisation, the Board ensures that appropriate policies, systems and assurance mechanisms are in place to support safe, effective and responsible delivery through partners.
