The new research from @youthsporttrust's #GirlsAct
The new research from @youthsporttrust's #GirlsActive 2025 report reveals that girls with multiple inequalities are being left behind in PE & school sport.

⚡ Girls are over 3.8 times more likely than boys to say they don’t like taking part in PE.

⚡ Girls who are ethnically diverse, on Free School Meals and/or with SEND are 1.3 times more likely to dislike PE compared with girls without those characteristics.

⚡ Girls with two or more characteristics of inequality are 1.3 times more likely to lack confidence in physical activity.

It’s time to break down barriers so every girl can enjoy the benefits of PE and sport.

On #WorldMentalHealthDay, we wanted to re-share our work alongside @mindcharity as we ran a nationwide survey with over 1,200 British Muslims.

The results were powerful:

🧠 83% believe mental illness is real
🤫 78% say it’s still taboo in our community
💪 91% believe physical activity helps mental wellbeing
⏳ Yet 46% aren’t as active as they want to be
🕌 Only 8% know if their mosque offers support

We listened — and we acted.

On this blessed Jummah and just as we’ve entered 1447H, we’re proud to launch The Mindful Sunnah 🧘‍♂️🕊 — a free resource rooted in the Sunnah, combining Islamic teachings with modern psychology.

It’s time to reconnect mind, body, and soul — through faith, movement, and mindfulness.

✨ From Salah and Dhikr to prophetic sports, this guide is here to take us from stigma to support, and from silence to healing.

Mental health isn’t new in Islam — but it’s been silent in our communities for too long.

We recently held a Female Football Coach Developme
We recently held a Female Football Coach Development day designed to bring female coaches from around the Midlands together to upskill and take their second steps into football coaching, building confidence, knowledge and community along the way.

✨ A big thank you to the @birmingham_fa, especially Vicky and Phoebe, for their incredible support of Muslim Sports Foundation women on their coaching journey.

🙏 A special mention to Phoebe, who also led the information session and guided the women so warmly through the process.

⚽ And of course, huge appreciation to Wai, who not only delivered the practical elements of the conference but also hosted us at @avfcofficial – what an inspiring setting!

This is just the beginning – watch this space for more! 🚀
